Forestry & Woodland Management

We provide services throughout the process of forestry and woodland management. We support private landowners, local authorities, and individuals with the management of their woodlands. We can also undertake habitat restoration and creation work, as well as habitat compensation for protected species licensing.

  • We undertake all elements of forestry work; from timber volume estimation and felling licence applications, to harvesting, forwarding, mulching, and track repatriation, all the way through to tree restocking and maintenance. We can work on steep slope forestry sites with ease using our specialist Menzi Muck with harvester head.

  • We consult with landowners on the management of their woodlands. This includes preparation of woodland management plans, application for grant funding, and liaision with the Forestry Commission (where necessary).

  • We work on sites impacted by invasive species and woodland pests. The most prevalent pest we currently work with is the eight toothed bark beetle (Ips typographus); we engage with landowners and can act as both land agent and forestry contractor to deal with reactive and proactive spruce removal.
